At the Center For Breath Treatment we strongly recommend our patients use the Hydro Floss machine as an excellent way to eliminate breath problems and to provide a much healthier oral environment. This new device is being recommended by more and more dentists because of its beneficial effects in the treatment and prevention of periodontal (gum) disease, decay, and halitosis. How does the Hydro Floss Oral Irrigator Work?

This high-tech device combines magnetohydrodynamics with the properties of an oral irrigator. It looks similar to the traditional water pick, but is as different as night and day. The Hydro Floss uses simple water and actually produces ionized water molecules as the water molecules pass through the magnetic fields within the machine. This provides an environment that interrupts the mechanism bacteria and tarter use for adhering to the surfaces in the mouth. Its effectiveness is not based upon removing plaque and particles with a high pressure stream of water the way a Water-Pick® does. In no way should the Hydro Floss be compared to a Water-Pick®. So how does the Hydro Floss!" machine work?

The ionized water molecules produced by the Hydro Floss device prevents the attachment of the odor producing bacteria responsible for halitosis, and plaque and calculus which are responsible for gum disease and decay, by actually repelling the bacteria, tarter. It produces somewhat of an invisible coating throughout the mouth that you can't see, but can feel. Clinical studies have actually shown an almost 50% reduction in bacteria and a 65% reduction in calculus in the mouth through the use of this device, (see article in The Clinical Journal of Periodontology, May 1993). Because all surfaces in your mouth are repelling the bacteria and tarter, your teeth and tissues will feel as if you just had your teeth professionally cleaned even 6-8 hours after using the device! Additionally you will also not have to awaken each morning with the typical film of plaque on your teeth, or experience the normal build-up of plaque on your teeth as the day progresses because bacteria (plaque) isn't being allowed to attach in your mouth. The Hydro Floss will significantly prolong the duration of which you remain halitosis free while providing a clean fresh feel like you've never experienced before. At the same time it is preventing gum disease and even decay from occurring.
