The Opalescence trèsWhite Teeth Whitening kit by Ultradent Products includes 10 pairs of pre-loaded moldable trays containing professional grade whitening gel for the upper and lower jaws. This highly effective product will quickly whiten teeth usually many shades whiter than your teeth already are. We have chosen this particular brand of whitening solution because it has proven itself to be one of the most effective products available to dentists and yet it doesn’t have the tooth sensitivity problems that some whitening products can have. The over-the-counter tooth whitening products are notorious for causing tooth sensitivity, and we recommend people avoid these. Many teeth whitening products contain carbamide peroxide, which gradually breaks down to a hydrogen peroxide gel, which is the active ingredient. This new system also eliminates the need for patients having to fill the trays with whitening gel because they come pre-loaded. Most teeth whitening manufacturers require at least 2 hours of constant contact between the teeth and the whitening gel each day in order for them to be effective. This increases the risk of tooth sensitivity. The advantage of the Opalescence trèsWhite product is that it only needs to be in contact with the teeth for 30-60 minutes per day in order for it to exert its effectiveness on the teeth. It is also using the hydrogen peroxide gel, which works immediately on the teeth without having to go through a second stage like the carbamide peroxide gel does.
The whitening solution used in our tooth whitening system is not available in retail stores. Results can initially be seen after the first treatment, and treatment is usually complete after just 10 days.
